We already know that Rockstar has been involved with the next mainstream edition from the Grand Theft Auto series. But there’s been one thing we have forgotten amidst this GTA VI prospect and the plethora of GTA Online updates we have been granted with. And that’s about the possibility of a story-mode expansion for the single player world in GTA V.It’s nearing three years since the game has released, and now it appears that Rockstar is planning to have a single player expansion introduced to one of the biggest ever gaming blockbuster. Accordingly, the new expansion would be similar to the Episodes from Liberty City expansion that arrived for GTA IV, which had two DLCs, namely ‘The Ballad of Gay Tony’, and ‘The Lost and Damned’.What it means is that the new expansion in GTA V could bring new protagonists, cars, missions, stories, and guess what, there could be new locations too.According to Greek site, the new DLC is being rumored to feature the story of Anthony Miller, an entirely new protagonist. Along with this, the DLC is also rumored to be bringing back the location of San Fierro and Las Venturas along from GTA: San Andreas.It needs to be seen whether this will be mission specific, as redrawing these two cities would require massive work within the studio.

Los Santos in GTA V alone was scaled to be bigger than the three cities combined in San Andreas.However, the indication of new gameplay features hints towards the cities being introduced as freely roamable ones. We are speaking about the addition of features like Casinos and horseback riding it. We’ve already had the taste of rolling the dices in GTA San Andreas, but the latter is something that will be witnessed for the first time in the series.As of now, there is no confirmation from Rockstar in regard with an expansion plan, and the current revelation would have to be digested as a rumor. Surely, it’s time that we are treated with some new adventures in GTA V offline gameplay. GTA VI will never be coming before 2018. Given that, a new ride in GTA V is more than welcome.
