Change your controls to type III or II if you want the GameCube memories. The game NEVER allowed you to shoot while walking, not even on the PS2 version or Wii port. You have to stop to aim, you turn by holding right or left. Back A turns you around fast.

Some of the bad reviews must have been thinking this was Res 5 or Call of Duty, because this port and the original on GameCube NEVER let you run diagonaly. This 'remake' is exactly as i expected, and the new graphics are amazing. I didn't, and you shouldn't, expect it to be a ground up remake. This game is EXACTLY as i remembered it on GameCube, aside from better graphics.

ONE COMPLAINT I'VE FOUND! In the beginning village on gamecube there was a chainsaw lady. It was gone in this remaster:(, although its the only unoriginal/easier thing thus far. I have beat this masterpiece countless times and would still come back for more. If you love Resident Evil, PLAY THIS! The over-the-shoulder angle became my favorite way to enjoy shooters and was a fantastic way to revive a classic yet dated series.

Ever.Tied with REmake for my favorite game of all time(hence the same headline for my reviews of both games), RE4 is still just as amazing as it was back in 2005. While it was the first game in the series to change camera perspective it suits the gameplay nicely.

Although the 'Hook Man' version will always be there as a nice 'what if' version of if RE4 was a horror game(one that I'd still like to see completed & released as an alternate timeline) I'm still going to continue enjoying the timeless classic we got. Everything from all versions of this game are certainly included but thats all, nothing new which is how it was meant to be. If youre considering buying this AGAIN, even if you have already bought it previously for the 360, save your money if you still have your 360 version handy. The overall smoothness & sharpness have been improved, even from the 360's version. The ONLY complaint I have is making those of us who've paid full price to download RE4 on the 360 PAY full price once again to download it to the One.

After four years of development, the fan-made HD update to Resident Evil 4 is now available to download.Although Capcom released, it wasn’t the complete overhaul fans had hoped for. Specifically, many of the game’s textures were left in their vanilla state.The HD Project mod aims to be the overhaul that Capcom’s version wasn’t, and its creators have gone to remarkable lengths to make it happen. The project lead, Albert, actually where Capcom originally sourced the game’s textures (primarily Spain and Wales) to gather new images which the mod's higher-resolution materials are based upon.The HD Project replaces virtually all the textures in the game’s three key areas, namely the village, the castle, and the island. It makes smaller changes too, such as adding real-time lighting effects to torches and flaming arrows, while switching out the low-poly Ganado models in the game’s cutscenes for high-res versions.
