Well that happened.Several unsettling thoughts from the movie I got (from the raws)-Sento just not wanting to fight. I think he said something along the lines of 'Kamen rider has no place in this world?' It makes sense a little, being in a new world he can finally choose not to fight but it also goes against his character. Sento always sought out to fight and protect others no matter what. No more 'love and peace' for this guy, now hes hiding out in a shed creating more inventions.
I know they have to give Banjo the spotlight, and Kilbas steals sento's driver, but still. This is a point I feel very divided on, and I'll have a more concrete thought once the subs come out. (If I'm wrong about this point, please let me know)-Sento keeps his gear inside a random box. What the hell is that! And apparently genius bottles been revived. He never transforms, only using it to cure his poison from Kilbas.-Kilbas is also lame and has 0 personality besides dancing around like a weirdo.-Ryuga and the girl get some nice and cool scenes.

He ran his movie well. Girl feels a little forced, but that's how a lot of these post-series movies feel.-I don't like evol being back and I don't like him as a protagonist. It goes against the character, this ultimate alien of destruction and makes the character's story feel wasted. It's like Sento and everyone worked so hard, and went through and sacrificed so much, just for nothing-Cross-Z Evol is a cool form with a decent fight. Was also cool to have all the Build crew back (and keeping their memories!)-Cool anime ending song.The RAW is out and about in some places.
Overall, it was just another post-series movie- trying too hard to be edgy and serious. Such a shame, as the New World concept had so much potential and it just went with a lot of the same beats as the Zangetsu or Mach or Specter movie. It didn't feel like a great reunion, but with another movie coming it 's a little understanding, I guess? Besides sento and evolt being out-of-character, it was great to see and have the rest of the build crew back and in action.What are everyone else's thoughts! Definitely better than the summer movie, at least.I watched a few henshin/finisher clips before the raw, and they were absolutely gorgeous. The fight CGI (other than the chalk webs) was definitely one of the best I've seen in KR.Everything else about the movie, not that great.Killbus is the worst type of villain to write ever; 'I just want to destroy world lol'. Kind of highlights why Evolt as a villain isn't that great, too.
Galactus does it better, at least he has a reason.The story doesn't have much emotion, either. Yui (the schoolteacher) had extremely traumatic experiences because of Banjou, yet her very valid contempt just becomes thin air. Maybe it's because the movie was one hour, but the character progression was totally lacking.As for other gripes, Sento not fighting is just lazy, song is OK but somewhat forgettable, ending is pretty unsatisfying-bring in a boring threat, boring threat disappears, yay. I don’t buy the “it just reappeared because they got their memories back”. The memories returning was an effect of being experimented on. In other words, the injection of Nebula Gas.
This shouldn’t affect the materialization of belts since they’re physical objects.If they followed him back, they’d need to have some excuse for the belts. If they somehow found Sento first and had him hand over belts and their bottles/jelly (try explaining how Sento has them the Toei, cuz Sento sees the Sclash Driver as an object for war and wouldn’t go out of his way to build two more of them for guys with no memories or desire/reason to fight.One thing I did like though was there was a semi-legitimate reason to bring out Cross-Z Charge again. Things in the same line that annoyed me were the fact the Cross-Z Dragon reverted to it’s previous state and got retconned out of being the Great Cross-Z Dragon (though this can be head-canon’d by the reset somehow resetting the Cross-Z Dragon and the Dragon Evol Bottle, which was for some reason inside him with Evol???) and Toei STILL not explaining both the Magma Dragon Bottle and the Dragon Sclash Jelly simultaneous exist despite the Magma Dragon Bottle being made from the Jelly.
A lot of things were executed poorly. The 1st half was great with its foreshadowing, but as the story progress, most of the parts are out of nowhere. The thing is these problems could have been easily foreshadowed and solved. This sounds like nitpicking, but it is so simple, I can't believe they didn't try it. Many actions ends up being justified for some reason.Edit: I might as well show you a easy example of what they did, lack of foreshadow and pointless justificationSawa was a reporter that spies on Sento's team for the Namba's company to find out information on Faust. Faust kidnaps her around the time the team is finding out that she has being bugging them.
Sawa reveals her identity as a reporter and made up with the team. Later on in the story, turns out Namba company turns out to have connections with Faust from the start and Sawa was a trained special orphan unit for Namba. However her second betrayal was not due to her loyalty, but because Namba has a hostage?If they want to make Sawa a special unit for Namba who always has connection to Faust?
Sawa should have been the one who told Namba to use Faust in order to regain the team's trust while fooling them in the process. It proves that Sawa like other special OP unit who is willing to do everything for Namba including turning into a Faust. This time her action was due to her conflicting loyalty and her gained love for the team. It is more like Build tries to make up every reason for something.
Why did Sato Taro went to Takumi's house? Who hired him?. How did Evolt rise to power despite should be labeled as a mentally insane person who caused the sky wall?. How Hazard is the countermeasure for Evolt Trigger from the start?.
How all 60 bottles got named and then disappeared?. How is the Touto so far behind in bottles and nebula gas? So far we only know Misora is the only one who can purify the bottles. How Vernage is connected to the Pandora Box? How Misora still has her power when Sento transfer Vernage to Ryuga to stabilize him?.
As someone who was disappointed with Build since the origin reveal (don't hate Build, but it has a lot of problematic plot threads), I wasn't too surprised about this. I do have a couple questions for you who watched the movie:. Did Misora, or Vernage has any importance in this story? I saw the pandora box in some of the leaks, but I did not watch it so I don't really know. Does this movie foreshadows another random movie villain since Grease is also having his own movie?. Is there a reason why Kilbas doesn't have an evolt driver?
I heard that he is the older brother of Evolt, but he never lost his power like the other Blood Tribe members. Did they ever explain why the Pandora Box is connected to Vernage?I have a lot more questions, but it is pointless since the Build Series likes to add random plot threads to explain some plot holes, but always ends up making a bigger plot hole in the process. Pandora Box was a powerful weapon used by the to annihilate countless civilizations and their native planets. When the Blood Tribe targeted the planet Mars, they were successful in utilizing the box's might to its full potential by raising Pandora's Tower that completely wiped out most if not the entire Martian civilization.
The queen at the time, was vainly successful in stopping their streak of destruction by separating their souls from their bodies. However due to the innate biology of the Blood Tribe, they were able to save themselves by storing their souls inside the Pandora Box, and kept on the Planet Mars for an unspecified amount of time.I guess the point is that she doesn't want the same thing happen to other planet, and had to merge with someone to empower her a bit since she was weak. Maybe this is just me, but the plot related to Vernage seems to be cut a lot due to her VA being sick. Yeah, the reason we got so little of Vernage was due to her being sick. I do feel like they could have easily made Misora act like 'Vernage is too weak right now to appear to talk, but she said this' in order to use any plot point that they have with Vernage.Your explanation does explain the connection with the Pandora Box with the Blood Tribe, but not really how Vernage can easily manipulate things from the Pandora Box.
Overall, you technically answer my problem for this one so I thank you for this.Based on the screenshot from wikia relating to the Planet Blood, it looks like Evolt's original form is his monster form. The Blood Tribe survivors lost their form due to Vernage, but how did it affect Kilbas? I don't know if you watch the movie, but shouldn't Kilbas have a monster form as well?. During Vernage's flashback, Evolto was defeated with the Kamen Rider Evol silhouette shown, not the Kaijin one.
From my interpretation, the black panel with the Lost Bottles were used to upgrade Evol BlackHole, instead of being a tool to regain his old Kaijin form Also, the name 'Lost Bottle' kinda suggest that the panel/fullbottle aren't a part of the Evolto/Blood Tribe's original power.The Blood Tribe survivors lost their form due to Vernage, but how did it affect Kilbas?Probably affect the same way as it did to Evolto. His Evol Driver might also be damaged to the point that it is not usable.I don't know if you watch the movie, but shouldn't Kilbas have a monster form as well?I'm sticking with my theory, and I would say he doesn't have it.
That is why I am basing it off on the screenshot from the movie and a bit confused. The series clearly shows that Evolt was in his rider form in Mars. The screenshot of Planet Blood shows Evolt in his monster form which threw me off. Unless someone who watched the movie can confirm what form he is in during the destruction of his home planet, I don't know which information is true or not.Kilbas was never part of the group that attacked Mars. It turns out they were running away from him.
I guess you could say that his belt was damage from the destruction of his home planet or he lost it during his journey to the new world through the Pandora Box. At the end, we don't know unless someone who watched the movie can explain what is going on.This is a nitpick, but it is weird that none of the other Blood Tribe survivors try to get a belt of their own. The Build Belt should able to be mass produced just like the Sclash Driver. Rider Blood got his by stealing despite all of them being part of Faust.
